Lasagna

I love lasagna but I rarely make it though I am not sure why once I get it done it is so simple that there is really no reason that I don't make it more often.

Lasagna

1 box ready to cook noodles
2 jars spaghetti sauce
1 pound hamburger
1/2 onion
2 pounds mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

To start: dice onion and add to hamburger then brown in pan until no pink remains. While you are browning the meat and cooking the onion grate the cheese. When the meat is done add 1 1/2 jars of sauce. Mix until well combined. Now you are ready to start assembling. In a 9 x 13 pan layer in the meat sauce until bottom is covered well. Add three of the noodles then add 1/3 of the cheese, then about 1/2 of the meat sauce remaining. Do the layers again using the remaining meat sauce and 1/3 of the cheese. Then add another layer of noodles and the reserved pasta sauce. Add the remaining cheese on top and cover with foil. Cook for about 40 min then take off foil and cook for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is brown and bubbly.

Enjoy.

  1. Yummy! Love Lasagna - I made some last week with my Mom's recipe which is slightly different (the recipe is on my blog somewhere).

  2. You are inspiring me to dive into some real cooking. Summer, for us, includes lots of bread, veggies, salads, sandwiches...light stuff. Fall will get me back into soups, lasagna and that sort of thing.
