Review on Bubble and Brown

Last month I was contact by CSN about doing a review for them. First, I want to let you know I am not being compensated for this, though I did receive the product at no cost to me. Thank you CSN. Back to what I was saying..... I thought about it for a few days and then thought why not this might be fun. Well, it has been. I had my choice of any bakeware, and thought this would be something that is versatile, and could go easily from oven to table. I chose the Rachel Ray Bubble and Brown set. It included two dishes, one 2.25 quart and the other 1.25 quart.

I will say they do a good job.  The 2.25 quart is just the right size for my family right now. Perfect for baked mac and cheese, scalloped potatoes, or your grandmother's casserole.  The smaller one is just the right size for a small dessert, or a dinner for two.  I gave them the gambit of tests. I baked chicken breasts, enchiladas, peach crisp, and nachos. They do a great job as they are fairly shallow and wide, so whatever you are cooking has plenty of contact. They clean up very easily, and they are a good-looking dish. Bringing them from the oven to the table isn't a problem at all. My one issue is that they don't stay warm for long. They cool off pretty quickly, which when I am serving lunch or dinner family style I want something that will keep the heat, so I don't have to worry about things getting cold.

In short, the next time I am in need of a wedding, birthday or Christmas gift, this will be something that I would happily give to a friend or family member.

  1. Hi H, nice review, I thought they did well. The smaller one was perfect for desert.

  2. Good review and interesting. I've always admired these types of casserole dishes, so it's nice to read your personal review on them. All I have is old, plain white corningwear, though they have served me well year after year. :)
