Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving. I hope your day is wonderful, filled with family, friends and love.

Today is a day that we focus on what we are thankful for, but it is something that we should each and every day.

I am thankful for a God who loves me
I am thankful for my husband
I am thankful for my children
I am thankful for my parents
I am thankful for J's family
I am thankful for my friends
I am thankful for my home
I am thankful for my freedom and those who protect it
I am thankful for so many things.

These are just a few. As we head into this season of buying and buying, take a moment to remember what the season is really about.

xoxo

  1. Hi Heather,
YOu are so right. I have a post coming up sometime in the near future - I don't know when - but eventually it will be there - about my indifferent feelings about the Christmas holiday season. While I love this time of year for all of its traditions and nostalgia, I really firmly believe that God never needed a specific holiday to celebrate Him and to be thankful. There is every single day for that, and this time of year, has to do more with traditions (and greed) than anything else. Just my silly opinion for what it's worth and it may not end up being a popular post, but that's okay. I've never been popular and don't plan on starting that now. HA.

I am thankful for your friendship that came about because of blogging, and hope that you and your family are enjoying a wonderful day. Ours here is really quiet so far with Sarah gone and no family traveling in, as is becoming the norm for us. Someday it will indeed just be Jim and I, probably. My parents will be over at 5:00 and I'm hoping to remain positive in the midst of oftentimes negativity.

    Love, Linda
