This is our second cake now out of our new book and like November's cake it is much more of a breakfast type cake something to serve at brunch or after church.
The boys enjoyed this cake. Though I probably won't make it again as I have several recipes just like it that I prefer. It was good, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a good recipe.
Sorry I'm not very wordy today.....see you next year :)

Loving your cake Heather. I have a couple of similar recipes to this too, but I loved the idea of clumping the streusel, and I would like to try some adding some additional flavors like some of our fellow bakers did. See you next year too!
ReplyDeleteLooking good, probably bake mine tonight, cos its a holiday tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Keep it short and sweet! The cake looks great! I'm glad you enjoyed it and tried it out. It's always nice to know that your favorite recipes are truly the best around. Congrats on the cake!
ReplyDeleteHeather...your cake is just perfect! The color, the crumb....it looks delicious even though I am not a fan of coffee cake. If this cake looks this beautiful, I can only imagine how your favorite recipes look! Hope you had a great holiday and see you next year! ; )
ReplyDeleteGreat job Heather! Happy New Year to you x

ReplyDeleteGlad at least your boys enjoyed it! I really liked this cake but don't think I would make it again either, it's not "that good" ... good job though... your cake looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI thought that adding the almond extract made this cake more of a dessert cake. You did a good job though :)
